ABOUT THE COUNCIL
Ubungo Municipal Council is one of five municipal councils located in the city of Dar es salaam in Tanzania.
One Majour focus of the council is to have a community that is empowered to adapt to social, economic and structural development, With also objectives of providing better service to the community by using the resources available efficiently , and to build capacity for them with better governance and respect for sharia governance that will improve the lives of the community, the Council distinguishes itself through accountability and provision of services to people.
Council sources of income are highly dependent on various taxes and taxes, major sources of income include banner taxes, city service taxes, business licenses and on the part of the central government are through subsidies offered in specialized areas such as health, education, and infrastructure.
THE COUNCIL LOCATION
The Ubungo Municipal Council is bordered by the Kibaha District Council to the north, the Kinondoni Municipal Council to the southeast and the Kisarawe District Council to the West. The Municipal Council of Ubungo is connected by beautiful roads and other communication routes in the city of Dar es Salaam and other parts of the country . The main roads connecting the Council are Morogoro Road, Mandela Road, and Sam Njoma Road.
