HOW ABOUT THE EMBASSY TODAY
Today, the U.S. Embassy Dar es Salaam and U.S. Trade Services announced participants in a two day mission to seek truth for mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
The journey to search for information will take place from September 27-28, 2022 in the city of Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar and there will be nineteen U.S. companies with significant U.S. operations or investments with a total market capitalization of more than 1 1.6 trillion. The companies will explore the potential for trade and investment in Tanzania.
The delegation is led by the U.S. Embassy in Dar es Salaam, in partnership with the U.S. Trade Association (“AmCham”) of Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, and seeks to establish U.S. companies with the capabilities offered by the markets of mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. According to the executive director of Amcham Kenya, ” our members are pleased with the potential for trade and new opportunities that open up in mainland tanzania and Zanzibar in agricultural trade, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, ICT, industry and other industrial sectors.
They seek to better understand the market and how they can participate in these opportunities and this mission provides an excellent venue to gather insights and collaborate directly with relevant government stakeholders and the private sectors
