Tanzania’s breakthrough stage is a new, three – year agreement (2022-2025) of cooperatives with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Johns Hopkins Center for Communications programming (CCP).

Social and behavioral change (SBC) the activity is aimed at stimulating opportunities for Tanzanians to improve their health status by changing social and cultural norms and supporting the adoption of healthy habits.

The activities will provide technical support to the Government of Tanzania (GoT) to improve policy framework and implementation around SBC operations, and design, implement plus monitoring of specific SBC measures at the national sub-level as required.

Breakthrough action, Tanzania promotes integrated approach of SBC eg to support families planning / maternal health, maternal health, newborn, and baby (including nutrition), HIV, malaria, TB, risk communication and community involvement (RCCE) and other infectious diseases
