The organisation  works with local project pertners at the regional level with East Africa community (EAC), which is located  in Arusha. Tanzania has population of 60 million  recorded as one of the most populated country  in sub Sahara Africa

Over the past five years, its economy has grown steadily at an average rate of 7%. However, the use of gas and other mineral resources is still at the initial stages. In the current five-year Development Plan (2016-2021), the Government introduces a rapid expansion of infrastructure and industries, enabling Tanzania to make changes to the state of a middle-income country.

The German-Tanzanian partnership focuses on the following priority areas: health water biodiversity. In the health sector, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) gmbh works on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and development (BMZ), aiming to provide better access, and improve the quality of, health care, especially for mothers and young children.
