Laboratory Scientists Job at Sokoine University of Agriculture

Duties and responsibilities

• Implementing specified maintenance plans for laboratory
• Preparing chemicals, solvents, reagents and standards for
  relevant tests and experiments
• Operating the High Performance Liquid Chromatography
  (HPLC) or/and Liquid

• Chromatography Tandem Mass
  Spectrometry Techniques (LC-MS/MS) for ICARS
  projects

• Providing  assistance to researchers and students
  working in the laboratory on experiments using HPLC and
  LC-MS/MS techniques
• Performing instrumental and equipment calibration,
  preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
• Keeping of records and logs at all work done and data
  generated in the laboratory
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the project
  Coordinator

QUALIFICATION

• wner of BSc Laboratory Science and Biotechnology

• BSc In Chemistry, Chemistry Analysis

• BSc in Environmental science and Management or other relevant degree

• Experience Chromatographic separation techniques including

• High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) or / and
  Chromatography Of The Bulk Of The Quantity Of Spectrometry
  Methods (LC-MS / MS) will be added benefits to
