These action offset are generated through the action of local Tanzanian communities conserving and Managing their indigenous trees and Forest

Carbon Tanzania is looking for dynamic Monitoring officer to work within growing company. The monitoring officer will be responsible for correcting and Monitoring of all projects data.

This will be the implementing and improved monitoring system focusing on the biodiversity and social economics development impact on our project.

Duties and responsibilities

• Deploy the field to gather biodiversity and social economic data
• Communicating with finance team for data needs.
• Collating meeting/training records
• Collating patrol data and confirming patrols.
• Managing company database
• Managing Smart/cyber tracker
• Improving and adopting new monitoring system
• Producing simple data reports
• Providing data to the media Team
• Engage with partners on data needs

QUALIFICATION

• Ability to work with communities in remote areas and in camping situation
• Computer and Mobile skills, especially Ms Office, Exel and Data system /Apps
• Knowledge in data Management systems and applications
• Proven four years experience as monitoring officer, Data scientist/Manager

The contract duration is performance based within one year duration, starting in April 2022. The Compensation system will be commensurate with experience.
