Geita Gold Mine is located in the gold mines of Lake Victoria in northwestern Tanzania, just 85 km from the city of Mwanza and 20 km southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company’s head office is located in Git, just 5 km west of the fast-growing city of Git, as well as a branch office in Dar es Salaam. POST:Coordinator 1

 

The Cordinator will be to increase the productivity of our machines and the team as a whole. Ensuring that members of the engineering team are responsible for meeting the planned performance indicators for management with no injuries and best results. Determine the requirements for the safe, correct and effective implementation of the planned work.

Duties and responsibilities

• Reviewing of standard operating procedures for maintenance and recommend improvements

• Recording problems in work orders related to quality maintenance and recording corrective actions in tracking records (e.g., defects previously reported but no action taken, finding out the cause, whether parts and availability were ordered), implementing a work plan

• Review the completed inspection reports / reference and form of release of the device , sign them as proof of passage

• Make sure the checklist is sent by the team of performers , and that the QMS staff have signed

• Determine whether the gap in training can cover the results of the work of the team of performers.

• Influence the executive team through QoS practice

• Ensure that all devices after changing services and components after noon the release form is signed by QMS staff on a daily basis

QUALIFICATION

• The minimum exam for the certificate of Secondary Education with advanced degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institute or institution

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or automotive engineering, Certificate of full technical specialist in the field of mechanical or automotive engineering

• You must have a valid Tanzania driving license.

•  five years of experience as a mechanic working with heavy equipment in the mining/environment industry, and you must have the following skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to maintain self-control in stressful situations and conflicting priorities.

• Must be able to work with minimal control

• He must be physically and mentally healthy and work hard

• Be able to demonstrate initiative and coordination skills as well as be able to interact with the team

• Good Microsoft work skills / computer literacy in spreadsheet and data entry programming

• Good communication skills.

• Literacy in English is an important requirement for this role, as the role holder

• must have good written and oral communication skills in English

• Demonstrate a good commitment to achieve

• Be able to read and understand the maintenance manual.

• Driving license (must have a valid Tanzania license.
