The project Manager GFD will be responsible for full implementation of general food distribution project implemented in Nduta camp by DRC.

The project Manager will be managed and supervised by area Manager. The project Manager GFD will directly manage the entire GFD team in In Nduta and will  also provide technical oversight of food assistance program to ensure high quality program delivery.

POST: Project Manager General Food Distribution

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for accountable manager for high quality delivery of food assistance program
• Provide management supervision and oversight to the all DRC staff
• Manage and track food assistance programming, budget and assets
• Manage and track food assistance programming
• Work hand to hand with MEAL department for develop monitoring plan.
• Track major trend and development and take action to ensure project objectives.
• Participate in staff recruitment that has required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Participate in project proposal design, budget development and drafting review
• Provide technical oversight through periodic visit to all FDPS

Languages

• English fluency is required
• Swahili fluency
• Kirundi will be an asset

QUALIFICATION

• Good understanding of writing project proposal, budget management, financial management and report writing.
• This position requires person who is self motivated, who can accomplish task with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of DRC donor regulations about relief food commodities tracking accounting and reporting.
• 3 to 5 years experience, prefarebly with NGO or UN agency in food commodities handling tracking and accounting.
