Many times, we have heard saing that water is life, Water bodies not only add a good balance to the scenery of our planet, they also represent a valuable resource for our lives, Therefore, it is easy to say that water is life.
In Tanzania, as elsewhere, water is important for domestic purposes, the economy such as the source of power in the energy sector, and in the health and sanitation sector, water also plays an important role.
Unfortunately, access to water has been widely recognized as one of the most challenging areas of development in Tanzania despite various institutional and stakeholder measures in response to the challenge.
Limited or difficult access to clean and safe water remains a challenge for many Tanzanians, only 30.6 percent of households in Tanzania use recommended water treatment methods and only 22.8 percent have proper hand washing equipment (Ministry of Health report, 2019).
