POSITION: Procurement and logistics Officer
The procurement and logistics officer is responsible for ensuring that all LI programs in Tanzania are compatible with the procurement systems and procedures for domestic and international procurement of goods and services. The space owner will develop and help ensure compliance with national and LI policies, fully identify and report risk issues to ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability for all transaction-related transactions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparing and implementing the annual procurement plan.
Ensure that the transaction is completed, documented, and delivered to the end user on time.
Record and immediately submit an application for the purchase of goods and services, take ownership of the supply chain process.
Send requests for quotations and purchase orders to suppliers and service providers.
Collect all the necessary supporting documents and attach them to the request to ensure the procurement procedures have been applied.
To establish and maintain the pipeline of recommended suppliers, to manage the logistics aspects.
Regularly update pre-qualifying list of suppliers and seek approval to update list of suppliers.
Establish and maintain the main register of main contracts, develop appropriate data bases for key suppliers and main contractors for all areas.
Managing contracts supplier and / or contractor and work closely with user departments.
Prepare and deploy Lpo as needed for goods and services and monitor/accelerate delivery on time.
