POSITION: Medical attendant

Maternity Africa  is currently  hiring  welcoming various candidates interested to  apply for the position avilable  of Medical attendant. The interested  candidates  to work with Maternity Africa  on position mentioned  of medical attendant should follow instructions to apply for the position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Conduct general cleaning of the ward and its neighbors
2. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require removing bedspreads; dust all furniture, photographs, drawers, window ledges, and comfortable shelves
3. Transport patients in wheelchairs or on movable beds around the hospital
4. Transfer medical supplies between wards, departments and theaters
5. Maintaining a stock of clean clothes and linen for patients
6. Remove soiled clothes and linen items for cleaning and laundry
7. Lifting and turning sick
   Restoring the cut
8. Support and take samples and collect results from the laboratory
9. Assist in providing sick bed baths or assist up to the bathroom
10. Help change chlorine water, soapy water and clean water in the sluice room, by disinfecting the containers and keeping tidy
    Compliance with infection control procedures
11. Help with autoclaving of containers
12. Helping to provide health education to patients when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• Holder of high school certificate  (A level)
• Experience  working  in the same position is preferred
• Nursing  certificate
• Basic medical knowledge
• Safety and Sanitation knowledge
