The Trades person, welder will be responsible for performing complete safety task by using the appropriate means and Safety precautions to required quality level, timely completion of work effectively by using resources of all planned and non planned works
POSITION: Tradesperson – Welder
QUALIFICATIONS
Veta and Test certificate Grade one in welding and fabrication
Two years of working experience in the mining industry as welder
Having valid driving license
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Testing and cutting equipment for specifications
Welding equipment using appropriate metal joininmg materials together
Check the finished work in order to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the plans
Read and understand the guidelines before starting the project.
Be able to comply with all safe work practices and procedures in the welding section of HME workshop and GGM in general
Conduct inspections of equipment for cracks damage or defects and reference results
Be able to plan tasks before implementation
Repair equipment and report completion of work to senior supervisor
Perform all grinding functions
Meet the deadlines for job delivery to reduce resource demand without exceeding required by the date of completion of the work
Comply with all safety requirements related to the work at hand
Report administrator to any secure devices immediately
